Our History
In 2018, Dr. Ron Wilson organized a series of climate related workshops at the Denman Island Community School. Various experts presented information about climate change related topics such as small scale power possibilities, EVs (electric vehicles), the pollution caused by plastics etc. Long time climate activist, Guy Dauncey, was invited to speak about climate action in BC. After his inspiring talk, a list of potential members was drawn up and DICAN was born.
