Sustainability

Starts With You

DICAN, as its name implies, is a network of people and committees who come together to promote awareness, host events and initiate projects that are related to climate change.  Letter writing cafes, repair cafes, Earth Day projects, plastic reduction workshops, student climate signs, articles in local papers and energy efficiency improvement projects like adding a heat pump to the Denman Old School are some examples of the things DICAN has spearheaded.

Our Organization

Find out about our history, mission and core values.

A young girl with short hair, wearing a black denim jacket, pink pin, necklaces, and white sunglasses on her head, is engaging in an activity at an outdoor event. There is a woman with glasses and a beanie behind her, reading a book, and another person in a black puffer jacket. The scene is set on a grassy area with cars and a house in the background. A table with various arts and crafts supplies, including paper, scissors, and other tools, is in front of her.
